Quite a Cast At Cole Bros. Circus
An assortment of international performers will be appearing together this week in Lake Grove as the Cole Bros. Circus wraps up its run on Long Island. The traveling troupe will hold multiple shows every day at the Smith Haven Mall from August 8-14.
This year's cast is comprised of performers from several countries including Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Columbia, Daghestan, the United States and Uzbekhistan. China should probably work out a trade agreement with Cole Bros., as the nation has more acts at the circus than any other country. The Yan Dong Troupe's Tram-"Pole"-Line combines trampoline talent and traditional ancient Chinese pole-climbing skills, traditional Chinese contortionists Miss Yu Xinmeng and Miss Tong Jai, and the flexible bungee cord coordinated act of the Asian Aerial Bungee Black Belts. In addition, Chinese Lion Dancers and the Cole Bros. Aerial Ladder Ballet combine to form the Circus Festival of Golden Lions.
The animal kingdom is well represented with the super stunts of the Purrrrrfectly Performing Pussycats, the sensational undersea spectacle of the Dancing Octopus, and the mini-kong attempting to elude Cole Bros. Clown Alley's Animal Control. Also strong arming their way into the big top are the Cole Bros. Circus Clowns.
Other featured acts include the magic of Transformational Prestidigitation, the Human Slinky, the World's Largest Cannon, the aero-acrobatic skill of the First Family of Flight, the juggling geniuses of the Funambulistic Jamboree and the Mighty Motor Astrocycle.
Cole Bros. has also signed a contract to license the Marvel characters Spiderman and The Incredible Hulk. The two popular super heroes will takes breaks from their busy schedules of starring in movies and comic books to appear live during performances of the circus.
