HAMPTON CLASSIC HORSE SHOW
The Hampton Classic Horse Show begins this Saturday, August 27 on Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton. The event, which runs through September 4, includes local riders, up-and-coming equestrians, Olympic riders, family activities, food, shopping. 14TH ANNUAL SEAFOOD FESTIVAL
The Long Island Maritime Museum's 14th Annual Seafood Festival takes place this Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28, from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. in West Sayville. RIVERHEAD RAILROAD FESTIVAL
The 2005 Riverhead Railroad Festival will be held at the Railroad Museum of Long Island's Riverhead site on Saturday August 27 and Sunday August 28. This year's theme will be "The End of Steam Operations on Long Island." A part of this theme will be a commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the End of Steam Ceremony. There will be exhibits about steam operations and the change-over to diesel. Also at the festival, enjoy a historic photo exhibit, model train displays, historic LIRR cars, rides on a miniature train (for kids only), a mini-theater showing film/video footage and a collectible train and toy sale.
