STONY BROOK FILM FESTIVAL
The Stony Brook Film Fesitval celebrates 10 years of great new feature and short films through July 30. See movies with such stars as Marisa Tomei, Danny DeVito, John Heard and Lesley Ann Warren. This year films include a 2005 Sundance Film Festival entry, the first feature film about the Scottsboro Boys trial and films from Canada, China, the Netherlands, and France. THE JAKE BROWER FUNDRAISER
A benefit concert featuring the Rockats at Mulcahy's (3232 Railroad Avenue in Wantagh) for 6-year old Jake Brower, a Long Island boy with a terrible brain disease. Admission is $20 at the door and includes a full buffet, raffles, surprise celebrity guests & live music. All proceeds go directly to The Jake Brower Fund.
