Thousands will gather for the annual EAB Plaza Tree Lighting Ceremony taking place Saturday, December 4 from 5:30 - 6:00pm at EAB Plaza on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale. The Tree Lighting Ceremony is Long Island’s largest single special event, attracting more than 25,000 spectators and serving as the kickoff for Long Island’s holiday season, according to a press release issued by EAB Plaza. Highlights of the holiday event include the J.C. Lynn Dancers and Santa’s Dancing Kids from the June Claire Dance Center in Babylon, the Northport High School Marching Band and Champion Kick Line, the West Islip High School Holiday Chorale, the North Pole Winter Wonderland Dancers from Miss Edie’s Dance Studio in Franklin Square, the Greater Nassau Chorus of Sweet Adelines, and Miss Long Island, Nancy Urban, with a special guest appearance by Santa Claus.
